Star Trek: Picard Trailer Drops at SDCC

A new trailer was released for the upcoming Star Trek: Picard starring the man himself, Patrick Stewart, reprising his iconic role as Lieutenant Jean-Luc Picard.

Revealed at today’s CBS All Access panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Stewart was joined by fellow co-stars Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Harry Treadaway, executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman, Kirsten Beyer, and Heather Kadin.

Star Trek: Picard is set twenty years after Jean-Luc Picard’s last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis and finds him deeply affected by the destruction of Romulus. For seven seasons, Stewart previously played Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation and four films.

It was also revealed to fans that many of their favorites will return including Brent Spiner as Data, Jeri Ryan as the Borg Seven of Nine, Jonathan Frakes as William Riker and Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi.

The series is set to premiere in early 2020.
