Reel TV Ratings: (Wednesday) – Empire Ticks Up After Down Week

It was an up night for most shows on Wednesday night, beginning with FOX’s Empire.

The show ticked up to a 1.8 rating in the 18-49 and 5.70 million viewers. It was the top scripted series of the night as is usually the case. Star followed with a 1.2 demo rating and 4.01 million viewers, which made it steady week to week.

Also up were ABC’s Modern Family (1.7, 5.78 million viewers), The Goldbergs (1.5, 5.40 million viewers) and American Housewife (1.2, 4.56 million viewers). The first two were up a tenth week to week while Housewife jumped 2 tenths. Speechless was steady week to week with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.25 million viewers. Also steady was Designated Survivor with a 0.7 demo rating and 3.91 million viewers.

On the downside of things, Criminal Minds was off a tenth vs. its last episode and tied its series low with a 0.9 demo score and 5.28 million viewers for CBS. Seal Team managed to hold steady for the network with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.28 million viewers.

On NBC, Law & Order: SVU (1.3, 6.19 million viewers -0.2) and Chicago PD (1.2, 6.47 million viewers -0.1) declined as well but were in line with their season averages.

It was a steady night for The CW with Riverdale (0.5, 1.46 million viewers) & Dynasty (0.2, 690,000 viewers) staying in line with last week’s numbers.
