Reel TV Ratings: (Tuesday) – Season 3 Premiere Of Chicago Med Up From Season 2 Average & Improves Tuesday 10PM Timeslot For NBC

You have to give credit to NBC. Their procedural brands have proven to be quite successful and the season 3 premiere of Chicago Med, part of the franchise that includes Chicago Fire & Chicago PD, did its job to improve on NBC’s numbers for their 10 PM timeslot.

The series drew a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.22 million viewers, a little above last season’s average (1.2) and ahead of the 1.0 Law & Order True Crime averaged in the time period earlier in the fall. NBC comfortably led the night in adults 18-49 with This Is Us leading the night as usual for scripted programming although it was down a tenth to a 2.5 demo rating and 9.29 million viewers.

On ABC, The Middle (1.3, 6.03 million viewers) and Fresh Off the Boat (1.1, 4.30 million viewers) were both even with last week. The other ABC scripted series did not air last night due to the 2-hour season finale of Dancing With the Stars.

NCIS (1.4, 12.49 million viewers) and NCIS: New Orleans (0.9, 7.93 million viewers) were off 0.1 and 0.2 vs. last week for CBS. Bull held steady at a 1.1 demo rating and 8.95 million viewers. The Flash was also down a tenth for The CW at a 0.8 demo rating and 2.17 million viewers. Legends of Tomorrow (0.5, 1.49 million viewers) and all of FOX’s shows matched last week’s numbers (Lethal Weapon – 1.0, 3.91 million viewers, The Mick – 0.7, 2.16 million viewers, & Brooklyn Nine-Nine -0.6, 1.67  million viewers.

*Note: Wednesday ratings could possibly be delayed due to the Thanksgiving holiday and also my dire need to consume all the food on Thursday. Have a Happy Thanksgiving Reel Talk Readers!
