Reel TV Ratings: (Monday) – On A Relatively Down Night, The Good Doctor Remains Strong In Week 4

While a lot of the networks so their shows down for the night, The Good Doctor is proving to be a sure thing for ABC.

ABC’s numbers are inflated by a couple of Monday Night Football pre-emptions, but Dancing With the Stars (1.5 demo rating, 9.76 million viewers, pending updates) and The Good Doctor (2.1 demo score, 10.90 million viewers) are likely to end up slightly down or perhaps even vs. last week’s 1.3 for Dancing and the 2.0 for The Good Doctor. The series continues to build on its lead-in which is making it one of the true new hits of the Fall TV season.

The Big Bang Theory remained Monday’s No. 1 show, but its ratings were down from last week — and in that, the show was far from alone. The series scored a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49 and 12.62 million viewers, down a tenth of a point from last week’s fast nationals (it adjusted up in the finals). 9JKL (1.3, 6.82 million viewers), Kevin Can Wait (1.1, 6.07 million viewers) and Me, Myself & I (0.8, 4.33 million viewers) were all down a tenth as well on CBS, while Scorpion was even with last week’s 0.8 demo rating and 4.77 million viewers.

The Brave (1.0, 5.16 million viewers) slipped 0.1 for NBC, as did Lucifer (0.8, 3.13 million viewers) and The Gifted (1.1, 3.50 million viewers) on FOX. The good news for The Gifted is its continuing to build on its lead-in, much like The Good Doctor.

Supergirl was even with the 0.5 demo score and 1.75 million viewers for its premiere last week on The CW, but Valor dipped a tenth to a 0.2 demo rating and 1.04 million viewers. That’s good news for Supergirl, not so much for Valor.
