Reel TV Ratings: (Monday) – Man With A Plan Ties Series Low For Season 2 Premiere

The CBS comedy Monday night lineup has suffered a lot since The Big Bang Theory moved off the night and shifted to Thursday and the premiere of season 2 of Man With A Plan didn’t do much to help matters.

Man With A Plan scored a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.37 million viewers, tying a low it set several times last season. Superior Donuts was down tenth of a point vs. last week at a 0.9 demo rating and 4.96 million viewers, and the rest of the network’s lineup was even with a week ago. Despite the rest of the lineup being steady, only Kevin Can Wait has bragging rights as its 1.2 demo score and 6.14 million viewers is the new high for the lineup which could keep it safe.

The good news continued to be glowing for The Good Doctor which lead among adults 18-49 at a 1.9 demo rating and 10.5 million viewers.  The series is currently matching its last episode, pending updates for a couple of Monday Night Football pre-emptions.

After weeks of building on its lead-in The Gifted dipped a tenth to a 0.9 demo rating and 2.97 million viewers for FOX, while Lucifer was steady at a 1.0 demo score and 3.61 million viewers. Supergirl (0.5, 1.86 mililon viewers) also equaled last week’s numbers on The CW and has maintained this demo score since it premiered this season which is very solid for the DC series. Valor (0.2, 980,000 viewers) came down a tenth, which is crushing news after it did not receive an early back order by the network. The Brave is steady at a 1.0 and 5.11 million viewers for NBC. I will say the show has been decently steady in its timeslot but the verdict is still out if the performance is strong enough to warrant a second season.
