Reel TV Ratings: (Monday) – Better Late Than Never Season 2 Premiere Has OK Start On NBC

The networks are winding down as a lot of shows are heading into their winter finale’s but there are still numbers to report, although Monday night is still a so-so night for most of the networks.

The season 2 premiere of Better Late Than Never on NBC opened with a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.56 million viewers, down from its summer 2016 average of 1.5 but slightly ahead of The Brave’s average in the time period earlier this season. Numbers for the winter period are graded a bit differently so this isn’t a bad start but it is down significantly from its numbers last year.

CBS’ comedies were mostly down as Kevin Can Wait (1.1, 6.34 million viewers), Man with a Plan (1.0, 5.68 million viewers) and 9JKL (season-low 0.7, 4.33 million viewers) each fell a tenth of a point from their last episodes. Superior Donuts (0.9, 5.22 million viewers) and Scorpion (0.9, 5.91 million viewers) held steady.

Lucifer was off a tenth at a 0.8 demo rating and 3.36 million viewers for FOX, but The Gifted matched last week’s 0.8 demo score and 2.79 million viewers.

On The CW, Valor was steady with a 0.2 demo rating and 777,000 viewers
