Reel TV Ratings: (Friday) – Crazy EX-Girlfriend & Jane The Virgin Steady In Their Friday Returns

The CW finished off their week of premieres with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend & Jane The Virgin and their returns were pretty steady for the network.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend started off its third season with a 0.2 rating in adults 18-49 & 660,000 viewers, which was the same as what its season 2 premiere scored last year. Moving to Fridays this season as well, Jane the Virgin kicked off its fourth season with a 0.3 demo score and 700,000 viewers, just one-tenth down from its season 3 premiere. Now you’re probably thinking that’s really low and it is but, like the other networks, Friday ratings standards are much lower for The CW and these demo scores are honestly just fine for them on a Friday night.

Following its season premiere last week, ABC’s Once Upon a Time held steady with a 0.7 demo rating and 2.78 million viewers for the second week in a row. That’s very encouraging for the series as it means fans are following it and sticking with it on its new night. Also on ABC, Marvel’s Inhumans continued its ratings fall, dropping yet another one-tenth from its previous 0.7 to a 0.6 demo rating and 2.3 million viewers this time around.

On CBS, MacGyver fell two-tenths to a 0.8 demo rating and 6.71 million viewers this week, while Hawaii Five-0 maintained its previous 1.0 demo rating and 8.33 million viewers once again. Blue Bloods dropped another tenth to a 0.9 demo score and 8.83 million viewers to end their night. The Exorcist did take a minor hit for Fox, falling from its previous 0.5 to a 0.4 demo rating and 1.46 million viewers on the network.

Check back next Saturday to see how your Friday shows hold up as the Fall TV season continues!
