Friday night ratings were mostly business as usual but Blindspot saw its first dip since premiering in its new Friday night home.
The NBC show drew a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.42 million viewers, down a tenth week to week. This isn’t a bad showing for the series as it could rebound but the weeks of steady numbers were more promising for the fan favorite.
The NBC series was actually one of the several shows whose numbers were off slightly. CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 (1.0, 9.11 million viewers) and Blue Bloods (0.9, 9.11 million viewers) also fell a tenth each, although Five-0 still led the night for scripted programming. Jane the Virgin (0.2, 630,000 viewers) dipped as well for The CW but Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (0.2, 680,000 viewers) was steady week to week.
Once Upon a Time was even with last week’s 0.5 demo rating and 2.57 million viewers at 8 p.m., but the second episode at 9 fell a tenth to a 0.4 demo score and 2.01 million viewers for ABC.
The Exorcist was steady at a 0.4 demo rating and 1.40 million for FOX. Depending on who you listen to, these numbers are ok for a season 3 and I hope this is the case because The Exorcist is one of the best shows on TV that no one seems to be watching. MacGyver was also steady leading the night on CBS with a 0.9 demo rating and 7.19 million viewers.
