Just one week after entering negotiations to direct The Batman, Matt Reeves has been taken out of the conversation of directing the film. While no specific reason was given for Reeves departure, this is a devastating blow for not only the film but the DCEU as it now seems like it just can’t do anything right. Reeves is currently in postproduction on his upcoming film, War for the Planet of the Apes which could be a reason for his departure.
