With The Last Jedi bringing old characters from the franchise back, questions have began about other potential characters from the franchise to make an appearance in future Star Wars films. Liam Neeson has chimed on the potential for a force ghost appearance by the popular character, Qui-Gon Jinn, who died at the end of The Phantom Menace,
“This is the first time I’m hearing of this,” Neeson told Yahoo Movies UK about the saga setting up his possible return. “No one’s been in touch with me. I know in the Star Wars world anything is possible.”
“In the first one, The Phantom Menace, I died but we know, you know, Jedis come back and stuff but no one’s been in touch,”
While stating that Jedis do come back, when asked whether or not he would try to reach out to make an appearance, the actor failed to give a direct answer,
“We’ll see.”
While “never, say never” seems to be the proper term to use under these circumstances, I, for one would love to see an appearance by one of the most underused characters in the Star Wars mythology.
