Leonardo DiCaprio to Star & Produce The Black Hand

Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star and produce The Black Hand, a film adaption of an upcoming novel, The Black Hand: The Epic War Between a Brilliant Detective and the Deadliest Secret Society in American History, by Stephen Talty.

Set in New York City in 1903, The Black Hand tells the story of a detective on the hunt for a criminal organization that leaves its mark at crimes scenes with a symbol of a black hand.

Paramount has acquired the rights and DiCaprio will produce through his Appian Way company. No word on a release date.
