Leonardo DiCaprio Hires Skyfall and Spectre Screenwriter For His Da Vinci Biopic

John Logan has been hired to adapt Walter Isaacson’s biography about Leonardo Da Vinci. The biopic is set to star Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role of Da Vinci. Paramount studios  and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way optioned Isaacson’s latest biography, following another of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs that was turned into writer Aaron Sorkin and director Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs movie adaptation.

Logan, who is responsible for writing the last two James Bond screenplays, Spectre and Skyfall, has also worked on films including, Any Given Sunday, Gladiator and The Aviator. Logan is also responsible for creating the Penny Dreadful  tv series.

No word on when shooting will commence and when the film will be released.
