According to The Hollywood Reporter, Get Down star Justice Smith has won the lead for Pokémon’s first live-action movie, Detective Pikachu. Smith is the first to be cast in the film but no details were revealed as to what his role would be. The film is set to follow the storyline outlined in the Nintendo 3DS game of the same name.

We suspect he’ll play Pikachu’s human partner as he solves crimes to help fellow Pokémon in need. Smith is best known for his work on Netflix’s The Get Down, which wrapped its final season in April.
