Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise Is Set To Go at Disney

The Rock is tackling the Jungle!

Dwayne Johnson has signed a deal to star in Disney’s latest live-action Adaptation of its long-standing ride at Disneyland and Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Jungle Cruise. The film is slated for a spring 2018 start of production. Johnson will also produce the adventure project with Dany Garcia, the co-CEO of the duo’s Seven Bucks Entertainment.

Jungle Cruise is one of the Disneyland’s original rides and takes park-goers on a journey through a range of locations including Africa’s Nile and Congo rivers as well as South America’s Amazon. The film has had Johnson attached to the project since 2015, however with script issues now settled, Johnson was ready to fit the project into it into his always busy schedule.
