You had to wait nearly 10 years for a ninth season of Curb of Your Enthusiasm but you won’t have to wait that long to see something new. On the heels of its season 9 finale, HBO has renewed the comedy series for a 10th season. Production will begin next spring, with additional details to be announced as they come in.
President of HBO programming, Casey Bloys, had this to say about the renewal:
“We are thrilled that Larry will be back with his uniquely acerbic wit and comedic sensibility”
Larry David’s comment on the matter is more in line with the show’s sensibilities:
“As I’ve said many times, when one has the opportunity to annoy someone, one should do so.”
Curb Your Enthusiasm just received two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations, for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for David and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. This made up for it being one of the surprise snubs in the television categories during the Golden Globe nominations earlier in the week.
Curb Your Enthusiasm premiered in 2001 and has aired 90 episode to date.
