Amazon Studios has released a sneak peek at their upcoming eight-episode series based on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan starring John Krasinski as the titular character. It’s set to debut on Prime Video in 2018.
The hour-long series will follow Ryan, an up-and-coming CIA agent thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. It will show him as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication making him the center of a dangerous gambit of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.
Wendell Pierce (Suits, Ray Donovan) and Abbie Cornish (Limitless) also star with showrunner Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) executive produce the series with Krasinski, Graham Roland, and Micahel Bay’s Platinum Dunes.
