The latest trailer for Pacific Rim Uprising, the sequel to Academy Award nominee, Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 film Pacific Rim has been released. The first film revolved around the human race facing an invasion of giant monsters called Kaiju, which were eventually taken down by mechs called Jaegers. In Pacific Rim Uprising, directed by Steven S. DeKnight, the Kaiju have returned a decade later.
The film features cast members Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, and Rinko Kikuchi reprising their original roles. There is also a slew of new characters, including Jake Pentecost (John Boyega). Pacific Rim: Uprising hits theaters March 23rd, 2018.
