Warner Bros. excited fans during their CinemaCon presentation including the first trailer for the upcoming The Matrix Resurrections, a new look at The Batman that will likely have a trailer debut at DC Fandome on October 16th. Along with the trailer folks were treated some behind-the-scenes footage that described director Matt Reeves’ grounded and gritty take on the character, who’s in his second year of being The Caped Crusader. There were also looks at Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Andy Serkis’ Alfred, who’s significantly younger than any other version of the character portrayed on the big screen.
The other big reveal was for The Many Saints of Newark: The Sopranos prequel. The news comes that the great Michael Imperioli narrates the film as Christopher Moltisanti from beyond the grave. This adds a new layer to the film as the main character in the film is his murdered father, Dickie. The chill-inducing moment in the reveal is when you first meet young Tony Soprano, Christopher introduces him by saying,
“he strangled me.”
Warner Bros. also included content for Cry Macho and already seen footage of Dune.
