At the conclusion of Creed II, I did not suspect there would be a third entry as the film ties a nice bow on both Adonis and Rocky’s story. However, it was revealed a few months back that series star Michael B. Jordan was considering directing the third installment of the franchise himself as his directorial debut. Fast forward to this week and in an interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Tessa Thompson confirmed that Michael B. Jordan will indeed be directing Creed III. Thompson stated,
“I haven’t talked to him about it because I’m gonna pretend it hasn’t happened. We’re gonna make another Creed very soon, and I don’t need the sexiest man alive to…you know what I mean, I just don’t need it. I don’t need any of it. It’s too much for me to shoulder. It’s too much for me to handle.
She added,
“He is directing the next Creed.”
