The Matrix 4 is continuing to round out its cast. It has been announced that Priyanka Chopra Jonas is in final talks to join the Warner Bros. sequel.
Much like most of the casting for the new roles, her role is being kept under wraps at the moment. The actress would join previously announced cast members such as Keanu Reeves, Carrie Anne-Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Neil Patrick Harris. The new film is being directed by series co-creator Lana Wachowski. The Matrix 4 cast has been in extensive fight training for weeks ahead of its production start which will begin very soon in Northern California.
The Matrix debuted in 1999 and told the story of a human resistance fighting against machines that had subdued humanity by keeping them inside a digital world. It was followed by 2003’s The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.
Chopra Jonas is a National Film Award winner with more than 60 film credits to her name. The Indian-born actress became known to U.S. audiences on the ABC drama, Quantico, which ran for three seasons. She is now married to pop singer/actor Nick Jonas and can next be seen in The White Tiger and Robert Rodriguez’s We Can Be Heroes set up at Netflix while she also recently joined the Amazon event series, Citadel, from Avengers: Endgame directors The Russo Bros.
