The great Gene Wilder has passed away at the age of 83. Gene was known best for his roles in Mel Brook’s films Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. His most famous role came in the role of Willy Wonka in the 1970’s classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Nominated for two academy awards, Wilder also starred in four films alongside stand-up legend Richard Pryor. In 1999, Wilder was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma and treated with radiation and stem cell transplants however no details of his death were immediately available. Wilder has left a lasting history of films that will continue to stand the test of time.
