One of the CW’s most popular series is set to receive a spin off. The critical darling Jane the Virgin is set to receive a spin off that will feature a whole new cast and follow a storyline from the flagship series. It’s unclear if any of the stars of the original including Gina Rodriguez will have any role in the potential spin off.
The untitled spinoff will be written by Jane the Virgin writer Valentina Garza, who will executive produce the series alongside Gina Rodriguez The spinoff is arriving at the perfect time as the CW is set to say farewell to Jane the Virgin in 2019.
