The trailer to the follow up to Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2015 The Lobster has arrived. The Killing of a Sacred Deer is a horror thriller directed by Lanthimos, from a screenplay by Lanthimos and Efthymis Filippou. The film stars Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer has already garnered acclaim outside of the U.S as It was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or in the main competition section at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. Filippou won the Best Screenplay award. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 27, 2017, by A24.
