Last weekend, Wonder Woman took the world by storm and not only brought life to the DCEU but was the highest grossing female directed film of all time taking in over 100 million. While this won’t be the last time we see our favorite Amazonian on screen this year as Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince in November’s Justice League. The question is will any of her supporting cast come along for the ride.
In an interview with the LA Times, Gal Gadot, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright confirmed their involvement in the November release. Gadot stated,
Of course; the mother and daughter relationship is always a beautiful but complex relationship. I think that there’s a lot more to explore.
Connie Nielsen followed by saying ,
And Wright and I got to do more in Justice League as well. As sisters as well. Kind of badass as well. We can’t say much, but …
Robin Wright added to the potential story arch,
And more of the story, you get some of the history.
Fans of the DCEU may not all be excited for Justice League as of yet thanks to past Snyder directed DC films, however, the inclusion of Wonder Woman’s fierce women might bring some excitement to fans,
While Justice League might undergo some structural changes with Joss Whedon stepping in for Zack Snyder as relief director, the already-shot film will likely cover its character exposition via flashbacks for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck’s Batman, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, with the looming presence of Henry Cavill’s Superman, who is prospectively set for a “Reign of the Supermen” style resurrection after his “death” in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
