Wonder Woman Awarded PG-13 Rating

Wonder Woman has been rated PG-13 by The Motion Picture Association of America. The rating was awarded due to “sequences of violence and action and some suggestive content.”

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot in the role she originated in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will see our titular heroine set out to bring an early end to World War I. Based on a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns from a story by Heinberg and Zack Snyder, it will follow the origin of the Amazon princess.

According to Jenkins, she is expected to be a hopeful optimistic leader and the tone of the film will be lighter than recent DC movies. Wonder Woman opens in theaters June 2nd.
