Tulip Fever Release Moved to Late 2017

Tulip Fever‘s release date has moved again. The Alicia Vikander led drama will not release this Friday, February 24th as originally scheduled. The Weinstein Company has decided to push back its release date to later in 2017. No reason was given for the movie but this isn’t the first time its release date has been moved. It was originally set to premiere in July 2016 where it was expected to enter this year’s awards conversation.

Directed by Justin ChadwickTulip Fever is based on Deborah Moggach’s bestselling novel and tells the story of a married woman (Vikander) who begins a passionate affair with an artist hired to paint her portrait in 17th century Amsterdam. The film also stars Christoph Waltz and Dane DeHaan.

It will hit theaters on August 25, 2017.
