It appears that talks are back on for axed horror show Hannibal. NBC canceled the show two years ago due to dismal ratings, but fans of the series want to bring it back. It looks like their wishes may come true as series creator Bryan Fuller tweeted Monday that talks for a fourth season of the show have begun. Back in 2016, when it was originally announced that the show would end its run, Fuller said that they would have to wait two years after the airing of the finale before the right conversations could take place. Officially, the show ended on August 29, 2015 and well it’s been two years.
Conversations couldn't start until 2 years after the final airing of season 3. @neoprod has started those conversations. This takes time.

Fuller has even stated in past interviews that,
“I have conversations with [executive producer] Martha De Laurentiis. I have conversations with Mads and Hugh. We’re are all excited about the prospect of returning to the story. There’s some hurdles to get through… [But] I just had a great idea for season 4. There’s an interesting next chapter in the relationship between Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter that would be fascinating to unpack. I’ve shared it with the gentlemen and they’re both keen on it.”
Fingers crossed that talks let the show come back and that Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy can reprise their roles.
