Spotlight‘s Tom McCarthy is Writing Disney’s Live-Action Christopher Robin

Disney is planning a live-action Christopher Robin. The film will be based on the beloved character created in A.A. Milne’s books Winnie the Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner. In the books, Christopher Robin has adventures with a talking Pooh and other animals of the Hundred Acre Wood.

The live-action film will be directed by Marc Forster and Disney has recently hired Spotlight‘s Tom McCarthy to pen the script. It will follow Christopher Robin as an adult workaholic with little time for his family until Pooh re-enters his life.

No word yet on a release date.
