New Wonder Woman Photos Surface in French Magazine Studio Ciné Live

New photos of DC Comics and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Wonder Woman have surfaced in an editorial piece from the French magazine, Studio Ciné Live. The on-the-set images show director Patty Jenkins at work with Wonder Woman herself, Diana Prince, played by Gal Gadot and Connie Nielsen, who plays Diana’s mother on her native island of Themyscira.

In the article, Chris Pine, who plays the WWII fighter pilot and love interest of Ms. Prince, hints at who the main villain is in the upcoming film. He states,

“I play a pilot who works for the Allies and spies on the Germans without their knowledge. My character steals a notebook filled with scientific formulas in an Ottoman base. Behind these scientific formulas, there is a deadly gas that could well annihilate humanity. It turns out that it might interest Ares, the god of war. He is jealous of humanity, which is a creation of his father, the deceased Zeus (the Amazons and Zeus rebelled against Ares and Zeus died from the hand of his son).

Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2, 2017.
