Entertainment Weekly gave cinephiles a first look at the upcoming film adaptation of Jeanette Wall’s bestselling memoir, The Glass Castle. Brie Larson stars as the adult Walls with Ella Anderson and Chandler Head playing the author as a child at different ages.
The Glass Castle tells the story of Walls upbringing at the hand of her poor dysfunctional parents, Rex (Woody Harrelson), an alcoholic, and an eccentric artist Rose Mary (Naomi Watts). As an adult, Walls world is turned upside down when her parents move to New York to live near her.
Lionsgate plans to release The Glass Castle on August 11, 2017.
