Mission Impossible 6 Faces 8 Week Delay After Tom Cruise Stunt Injury

It looks like Tom Cruise took a bigger hit than we thought. Cruise’s accident on the set of Mission: Impossible 6 looks set to put the production back by as much as 8-9 weeks.

A video showed the actor, who is known for doing his own stunts, jumping between buildings and falling short of his mark, smacking into one side hard and limping away afterwards. The injury – believed by many among the film’s crew to be a damaged ankle – is likely to force producers to put the shoot “on hiatus” for at least eight weeks. The accident, which took place on the roof of Baynard House, an office block in the Blackfriars district of London, occurred on Saturday.

The accident occurred on day 88 of the Mission: Impossible 6 shoot, which was due to carry on for another two months and into October.

Mission: Impossible 6, which also stars Henry Cavill, Rebecca Ferguson, Angela Bassett and Alec Baldwin, is due for release July 27, 2018.
