According to Deadline, Michael Shannon is being eyed for a role in the upcoming Deadpool 2. His name is in the running to play Cable. Shannon has only been recently approached and no talks have begun on the sequel to the 2016 R-rated blockbuster starring Ryan Reynolds as the titular superhero and will be directed by David Leitch.
This isn’t the first time Shannon has played a comic book character. He recently played General Zod in 2013’s Man of Steel and 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Another rumor today has Brad Pitt up for the role. Who would you want to see play Cable?
