Miami Children’s Museum to Feature Exhibit Based on Disney Junior’s The Lion Guard

The first-ever exhibit based on Disney Junior’s hit series The Lion Guard will debut at the Miami Children’s Museum in January 2018. The Lion Guard continues the epic story of The Lion King and follows the adventures of Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, and his diverse friends as they protect the Pride Lands.

The exhibit will run for six months and continue its display at several other children’s museums across the country through 2022. It will highlight important learning areas including social and self-development, problem-solving and creative thinking with an array of hands-on activities and imaginative play.

“We are honored to be working with Disney on this unique exhibit for children and families that will encompass important learning areas such as social and self-development,” said Deborah Spiegelman, CEO/Executive Director for Miami Children’s Museum. “Helping kids learn to appreciate teamwork and recognize the attributes that contribute to being a strong leader is an important milestone in their development and we are delighted to be working with the Miami Children’s Museum on their exhibit featuring the characters and themes from our much loved Disney Junior series, ‘The Lion Guard.’

“Giving families a chance to experience our stories beyond the screen is a vital part of what we do and an example of how we can work together in communities to make a lasting impact,” said Nancy Kanter, Executive Vice President, Content and Creative Strategy, Disney Channels Worldwide, and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.
