Luke Cage Is Netflix’s Biggest Series Of The Year

While the anticipation was high for Marvel’s Luke Cage, not many thought it would become the biggest hit of the year for Netflix. In a year where Stranger Things became the darling of the year, Luke Cage‘s performance shows the dominance of Marvel.

Symphony Advanced Media has done the math and found that Luke Cage is Marvel Television’s biggest hit on Netflix. The streaming site does not provide ratings or viewership numbers for its original series, but the company estimates that Luke Cage had a bigger opening than Making A Murderer and Stranger Things.

According to Symphony, 6.34 percent of Netflix users aged 18-49 were watching Luke Cage in its first 32 days. While impressive, there is a chance that top series title may fall when Gilmore Girls returns for its special miniseries, where it can take over that top spot.
