A Downton Abbey Movie is in the Works

Rumor has it that a Downton Abbey movie is in the works with production to begin in 2018. Michael Edelstein, president at NBCUniversal International Studios, said it hopes to assemble 20 cast members from the popular TV series. During an exhibition in Singapore for the popular TV series, Edelstein stated that,

“There’s a movie in the works. It’s been in the works for some time. We are working on getting the script right and then we’ve got to figure out how to get the (cast) together. Because as you know, people go on and do other things. But we’re hopeful to make a movie sometime next year.”

No word yet on which cast members have been confirmed to return for the movie.
