Season 7 of American Horror Story finally has a title. The upcoming season of Ryan Murphy’s FX anthology series which will be based on last year’s presidential election and called Cult.
Despite the fact that seventh season will focus on the 2016 presidential election, little else has been shared regarding other plot points to the season. However, show runner Ryan Murphy promised that with Thursday’s announcement, “Suddenly… it will all make sense.” Along with revealing the title of the season, it was also announced that the seventh season of the anthology will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 10 P.M. ET.
Despite not having a panel during Day 1 of San Diego Comic Con, American Horror Story made its presence known. After unveiling an activation Thursday at noon, they also unveiled a new season seven teaser on the water behind the San Diego Convention Center Thursday night. After the video concluded, viewers were encouraged to visit AHS7.com, where after watching another video, the title was revealed.
