2 Broke Girls Canceled by CBS

Along with the cancellation of The Odd Couple, CBS has added 2 Broke Girls to its last of canceled shows. In a batch of renewals on the network including The Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces, Mom Kevin Can Wait, the Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs-led show failed to make the cut.

2 Broke Girls debuted back in 2011 and followed the story of two waitresses who try to raise money to start their own business. While the show garnered a following after its release, 2017 saw a different story with a significant drop in ratings. Taking to social media, actresses Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs shared their gratitude in a joint statement for being a part of such a “wonderful” TV show,

“We’ve had a wonderful six season as Max and Caroline and we thank all of you for watching and enjoying it along with us. We are so proud of our time on ‘2 Broke Girls’ and of all the things this experience has given us, the most treasured is our lifelong friendship.”

The cancellation shows that despite 5 plus seasons on the network, no show seems to be safe on CBS outside of The Big Bang Theory.
